The Rock Snaps Up Mansion near Miami

The pro wrestler-turned-actor bought his new 13,000-square-foot home from the Miami Dolphins' Vernon Carey

The Rock has a new Miami-area home, thanks to Miami Dolphin Vernon Carey.

Movie star and pro wrestler Dwayne Johnson, better known by his one-word moniker, bought a 13,000-square-foot mansion in Southwest Rances, Fla., from Carey for $3.45 million on Feb. 27, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported.

The property owner of the six-bedroom house s technically the Hand Over Hand Land Trust, whose trustee signed for a $2 million mortgage on behalf of the pro wrestler, 39, according to the newspaper.

The single-story palatial pad features “a splendid circular driveway bejeweled with a stunning fountain leading to the grand entrance,” as the real estate listing describes it, as well as a chef’s kitchen, “resort-style pool,” gym, and home theater replete with a ticket booth.

The Rock most recently starred in last month’s “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.”

Carey, 30, is an offensive lineman who has spent his eight-year pro career with the Dolphins. A free agent, he is not expected to return to the team, according to the Sun Sentinel.
