Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Launching New Tour

"The Boss" is going back on tour in 2016.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will launch The River Tour on Jan. 16 in Pittsburgh to coincide with Friday’s release of “The Ties That Bind: The River Collection,” which focuses on the era surrounding the band's the 1980 “The River” album.

Springsteen's original The River Tour ran through October 1980 to September 1981. This new cross-country tour will last 9 weeks, with tickets going on sale Dec. 11. Other tour stops include Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Los Angleles.
