Charlie Puth brought viewers to tears Friday morning.

The 24-year-old singer appeared on NBC's "Today" show and dedicated a touching performance of his hit "See You Again" to the 49 victims of the devastating Orlando shooting.

"It was a really, really hard weekend. I dedicated it to my friend, Christina Grimmie, and to everyone that lost their life in Orlando," Puth told "Today" co-host Willie Geist before singing the song.

He continued, "But like I always say, 'Your body dies, but your soul lives on.' Everyone's soul who was lost that day goes in through everybody else. That's what 'See You Again' is about. It's to help with everyone cope with a loss."

The crowd couldn't help but cheer and sing along as photos of the victims were shown.

"See You Again" was originally featured on the "Furious 7" soundtrack as a tribute to the late Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in November 2013 at the age of 40.

The song now has new significance in light of the Orlando shooting, the biggest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

(E! News and the "Today" show are both part of the NBC Universal family).
