Gal Gadot Under Fire From Disability Community Following Stephen Hawking Tweet

Some took umbrage with Gadot's reference to Hawking now being free of "physical constraints"

"Wonder Woman" star Gal Gadot is under fire for a tweet she sent marking the passing of Stephen Hawking.

Hawking, the best-known theoretical physicist of his time, died peacefully at his home in Cambridge, England, Wednesday. Hawking's book, "A Brief History of Time," became an international best seller, making him one of science's biggest celebrities since Albert Einstein.

While she meant no ill intent, some took umbrage with Gadot's reference to Hawking now being free of "physical constraints," saying it suggested the iconic physicist was better off dead than disabled.

Gadot has not commented on the controversy since her tweet.
