Singer Pitbull performs at halftime during the Thanksgiving Day game between the Miami Dolphins and the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium on November 24, 2011 in Arlington, Texas.

Sunday night's Pitbull concert at the LA County Fair has been postponed because the entertainer was unable to safely depart from Miami due to Hurricane Dorian, fair organizers announced.

"According to Pitbull's management, the artist cannot safely depart from Miami. Pitbull, a resident of Miami, has chosen to stay and tend to the safety of his family," the statement said.

The concert was tentatively rescheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m.

Ticket holders who planned to attend Sunday's show were still permitted to use their ticket to visit the fair, and also can gain admission on the rescheduled date of the concert.

Those wanting a refund can contact Ticketmaster at 800-653-8000, or the LA County Fair box office 909-865-4070.

Hurricane Dorian made landfall in the Bahamas on Sunday with winds of 185 mph and gusts as high as 220 mph.
