Rihanna Is Joining ‘The Voice'

"The Voice" just keeps bringing it with the big names, and the latest one you've probably heard of: Rihanna.

On the heels of the announcement that Gwen Stefani will be back as a coach in season nine, NBC announced Rihanna also will take on an integral post, as an adviser to all the judges.

Also holding down the fort in the big red chairs with Stefani: Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams.

"We landed Rihanna to be the key advisor to all the coaches this fall," NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt told reporters Thursday at the TCA Press Tour in Beverly Hills. "This is one of music's true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers."

Levine and Shelton have been with the show since it began in 2011. Season nine will be Williams' third season, he joined the show with Stefani in season seven. Stefani sat out season eight when Christina Aguilera returned to "The Voice." A source told E! News that Aguilera plans to return for season 10. "Right now she's focusing on being a mom and new music," the source said.

Season nine is set to premiere on NBC in September.
