Actor Seth Rogen said porn star Stormy Daniels had previously mentioned her alleged 2006 affair with President Donald Trump on the set of his movie "Knocked Up," which was released the following year.

In a preview for Monday’s episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres" show, Rogen told the talk show host that he’s been aware of the alleged tryst for about a decade.

"I've known Stormy Daniels a long time, and I'll be honest, she may have mentioned some of this stuff around 10 years ago," Rogen said. "At the time, when you ask a porn star who they've been sleeping with and the answer was Donald Trump, it was like the least surprising thing that she could've said."

Daniels appeared in two of Rogen’s movies: “The 40-Year-old Virgin” and “Knocked Up.” He explained to DeGeneres that Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, was hired to play a stripper in “Knocked Up” because it was easier to have adult film stars portray exotic dancers "rather than get actresses to play strippers."

Rogen said after Trump launched his presidential bid and his campaign rolled along un-derailed despite a slew of controversies, “it became clear that no one cared about anything he did,” and the actor underestimated the impact her story would have.

"So, it didn't really occur to me even that it would come out or that anyone would care about it,” Rogen told DeGeneres. “But then when I saw it, I was like, 'Oh, yeah, Stormy told us all about that.'"

The Canadian-born filmmaker, who is set to play Pumbaa in Disney's live action movie “The Lion King,” added that he hasn’t seen Daniels "in years" but joked that she’s "clearly done well with herself."

Daniels claims she had sex with Trump once in 2006 and their relationship continued for about a year. Trump married his current wife, Melania Trump, in 2005, and their son, Barron, was born in 2006.

The White House has said Trump denies having an affair.

Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen has said he paid Daniels $130,000 out of his own pocket in an effort to keep her quiet about the alleged affair. Cohen alleges that neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was part of the transaction, made days before the 2016 presidential election as part of a nondisclosure agreement.
