Coming Soon: ArcLight Cinemas Pasadena

ArcLight Cinemas is opening a new theater in Pasadena.

This will be the chain's third location. It currently operates in Hollywood and Sherman Oaks.

The buzz started on Saturday morning via the theaters' Facebook page:

"Oh boy, oh boy do we have something cool to tell you folks."

From there, the cinema-istas started posting a rebus revealing the big announcement:

The final clue, the actual location of the new theater, was announced Tuesday at noon. LAist, who reported on the possible expansion back in December, posted this statement from the theater:

"The conversion of the Pacific Paseo Theater in the Paseo Colorado center will give our many Pasadena area members the ArcLight experience right at their doorstep," the company said in a statement. "As with our current locations, at ArcLight Pasadena you will be able to enjoy the unparalleled sight and sound of our auditoriums, choose from the same wide variety of films and reserve your seats online with no additional fee. ArcLight Pasadena will also feature our innovative programming including Q&A’s with filmmakers, exhibits from films and 21+ screenings."

The new ArcLight will face some high-end competition from the nearby Gold Class Cinemas.
