Cruise and Diaz to Present at MTV Movie Awards

MTV is lining up big-screen star power for its upcoming Movie Awards, getting Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz to help present Golden Popcorn awards.

The two, who dodge bullets together and fall in love in the upcoming action-thriller "Knight and Day," will be among the star-studded flock of celebs presenting awards this June, reports People.

Along with the power duo, MTV announced Sean "Diddy" Combs will appear via telecast to present the Golden Popcorn Award.  "Human Giant" comedian Aziz Ansari will host, and reformed bad-girl chanteuse Christina Aguilera will perform.

MTV also announced a few new wrinkles for the 18th iteration of their movie award broadcast. New categories include: Biggest Bad-Ass Star, Best Scared-As-S--- Performance, and Global Superstar.  Viewers around the world will be able to log on to MTV websites to vote for the Global Superstar winner.

The last time Cruise and Diaz appeared together in a movie, things did not end well for Diaz's character. In the the 2001 film "Vanilla Sky," her character dies when Cruise drives her off a highway overpass.

The MTV Movie Awards air June 6 at 9:00 p.m. EST.
