Megan Fox Removing Marilyn Monroe Tat: "She is a Negative Character"

Megan Fox: It's 'Strange' & 'Overwhelming' Living In The Spotlight

Megan Fox talks with Access' guest correspondent Quddus about her new indie film with Mickey Rourke, "Passion Play," but did she choose this role because of its eccentricity? Also, has the "Jonah Hex" star gotten use to living in the Hollywood spot light? (Published Tuesday, March 4, 2014)

Actress Megan Fox's career has been a little snake-bitten lately - she famously quit/got fired from "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," and her last few non-Transformers roles have either tanked at the box office ("Jonah Hex," Jennifer's Body") or never even seen the inside of one ("Passion Play") - so you can forgive her for looking for help wherever she can find it.

And she seems to have found it on her arm.

Fox has long had a tattoo of Marilyn Monroe's face on her forearm, but the 25 year-old revealed during an interview with the Italian magazine "Amica" that she is having it removed because it's got some bad mojo.

"I'm removing it," she explains. "[She] is a negative character, as she suffered from personality disorders and was bipolar. I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life."

The actress also described how her recent foray into a strict vegan diet made her dangerously skinny, and how she's rebounding by eating a more well-rounded diet and training.

Maybe the "New Megan" plan will work - she's already scored a role in director Judd Apatow's "Knocked Up" spin-off "This is 40," starring Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann as their "Knocked Up" characters, the troubled married couple "Pete" and "Debbie."
