Man Bearing Scissors Arrested for Trespassing at Miley Cyrus' Home

After complying with officers, the man identified himself as a friend of Cyrus

A man was arrested early Saturday for trespassing inside the walled Studio City estate of pop singer Miley Cyrus.

In video taken at the scene, he identified himself as Jason Luis Rivera, 40. He said he was a friend of Cyrus.

The man tried to enter the home in the 11000 block of Amanda Drive, but employees told him Cyrus was not home and said they would call police if he did not leave. They heard a sound like him trying to break through a wall to get it, according to Los Angeles Police Department Lt. Brian Wendling.

Officers responded to the 19-year-old singer and actress' home about 4 a.m.

"Police Department, step out of the gate," officers can be heard saying from video on the scene.

"Stand up, put your hands in the air, drop the bag," a police officers said, after threatening to use a Taser on the man.

"Yes, sir," Rivera said, climbing out of some vegetation. "Kinda hard though, man."
