“It's a Grand Theft Case, and the Victim is the ‘Tonight Show'”

Band clothing, shoes stolen from Hollywood storage facility

More than $5,000 worth of band wardrobe for "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" has been stolen, it was reported Tuesday.

Jackets, shirts and dozens of shoes were stolen from a Hollywood storage facility, the Los Angeles Times reported:

An employee with "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," which is taped in Burbank, contacted the LAPD's Hollywood division on Monday to report that dozens of items had been taken from a storage building the show was using in the 1600 block of El Centro Avenue.

"A significant portion of their inventory is missing," Lt. Bob Binder told the Times. "It's a grand theft case, and the victim is the "Tonight Show."

There were no signs of forced entry at the storage facility, and no suspects have been named.
