Being a CineSoCaler is a lot to live up to, no doubt. For it means you call Southern California home, and you love movies, and you probably have quite the high standard when it comes to your movie-watching experience. Good thing our cine-strong region provides you so many prisms to that experience, with the latest one debuting in DTLA.
And what prisms this gem does hold, for it is an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, the fabled film-showing outfit that can trace its origin back to the Austin of the 1990s. Los Angeles, as movie-riffic as it is, hasn't yet called an Alamo Drafthouse its own, but that all changes on Saturday, July 20 when the lauded cinema opens to the general public.
There are over three dozen Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas around the country, with the newest ready for its LA close-up. Look inside at some of the film-fun features, like an on-site video store, now.
