Batuu Travelers, Oga's Cantina Bookings Have Changed

Guests formerly had to reserve a spot at the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge venue the same day, and at Savi's Workshop, too, but the lead time has grown.

What to Know

  • Oga's Cantina and Savi's Workshop at Disneyland park
  • Make your reservation at the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge venues 14 days in advance
  • Children are welcome at Oga's Cantina

Question: Are there more Stormtroopers running around the Death Star, or moons in a star field, or nuggets of Jedi-based wisdom in Yoda's brain, or people who'd like to visit Oga's Cantina at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge inside Disneyland park?

That's a riddle as tough as a Bantha is soft.

But one thing is true: A lot of people out there are eager to enjoy a beverage inside the cosmically themed venue, and to visit its near-neighbor, the equally popular Savi's Workshop, to build a custom lightsaber.

But demand to visit both spots has been high since both debuted, along with the rest of the popular, 14-acre land, on the final day of May 2019.

To help the Force better flow, Disneyland swiftly offered a same-day reservation system to both places through its official app, allowing people to make a booking for later in the day, beginning at 7 in the morning.

That's changing, however, and it'll help visitors to the world of Batuu make further-out plans.

Social Nature, a Descanso Gardens pop-up, will offer sips and snacks this spring and summer

How? Oh happy Ewoks, there's now a 14-day window to make your Oga's Cantina or Savi's Workshop reservation.

Disneyland Resort announced the updated system on Wednesday, July 24.

Be not a blue as your favorite milk, however, if you'd decide to go to Galaxy's Edge in a spontaneous fashion. The park confirmed that a number of bookings will open up for same-day reservations.

Because you never know when you'll need a last-minute visit to Black Spire Outpost. What if a droid shows up at your house with an urgent request for your help?

Keep in mind that "walk-in opportunities are limited" at both the cantina and workshop, so best make that reservation before you call upon the Anaheim attraction.

So what's further ahead, after this change?

Several of the resort's reservations use a 60-day booking system, as does the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

Disneyland will one day move Oga's Cantina and Savi's Workshop to that same system, though, given the still-recent opening of Galaxy's Edge, that day may be a ways down the road.

For now, however? You have 14 days to plan your cantina jaunt, or your lightsaber-making session, or both, while visiting The Jedi-iest Place on Earth.

Disneyland, we do raise a Fuzzy Tauntaun in your direction at this fan-pleasing development.
