Selecting that first taco, while at taco festival, can stir so many deep and complex feelings.

Should you start with a favorite flavor combination? Jump into the novel and what-does-that-taste-like selections? And how do you pace yourself, when you know there's a real chance you can down a trio of tacos lickety-split, and a half dozen within a half hour?

So many multi-layered questions, but one appetizing answer, of spectacular sort, on the tortilla-terrific horizon: LA Taco Festival.

Entry to the Saturday, Aug. 18 taco to-do? No questions, hemming/hawing, nor deliberating shall swirl through your mind following what we're about to type: It's free.

Showing with money for tacos? You'll want to do that, as a platterful of taco pros'll be there, ready to asada-up, chorizo-out your day.

    Showing with money to donate?

This is a wonderful choice to make. LA Taco Fest, as it has been in years gone by, is, at its give-back heart, a fundraiser. The beneficary? Jovenes, an organization that "... Provide(s) Homes and Hope for Homeless Youth."

The hours are noon to 8 o'clock.
