That's when the 23rd Annual Butterfly Season kicks off at the Pasadena destination. A weekend-long Butterfly Celebration will get wings, we mean things, going, but there's more utterly butterfly-y doings to anticipate.
Like? Caterpillars will go up for adoption at the event, with a single caterpillar priced at $5.49 (you can purchase five for $19.99). Care instructions, caterpillar-yummy food, and an adoption certificate are part of your price, hurrah.
The point of this whimsical purchase?
To observe how a catty becomes buttery, or, more scientifically, the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly. Kidspace always holds a Butterfly Release later in the spring, and, if you buy a caterpillar during the caterpillar-buying window, you'll score three bucks off your admission to that special and uplifting event.
