CPK Fundraiser: LACoFD Explorer Program

Dine at a California Pizza Kitchen from July 17 through 19 and help support future firefighters.

The flavorful idea of "Pizza Friday" is as much a part of our week as Hump Day and Sunday Funday or any of the catchy names we bestow upon various days for. various reasons.

Whether or not a pie loaded with toppings, cheese, and sauce is the most popular dish ordered ahead of the weekend is up for delicious debate, of course, but many of us have participating in a Pizza Friday event at work, and, yes, at home, too, as a week-ending treat.

Perhaps, though, every once and so often, for an excellent cause, we can celebrate Pizza Monday, Pizza Tuesday, and Pizza Wednesday, too.

Those auspicious occasions are on the savory schedule at a participating California Pizza Kitchens from July 17 through 19, which just happen to be the days that area CPKs are lending support to the Los Angeles County Fire Department's Explorer Program, "...which provides educational and community service opportunities for young adults interested in careers in fire service."

The best part? While CPK is known for its pizzas — that is, of course, what the "P" stands for in the chain's name — you can order anything on the menu and know that 20% of your check will help out the Explorer Program.

All you need to do is this: Mention the LACoFD Explorer Program fundraiser to your server. And, yep, this includes dine-in and take-out, both, and beverages, too.

As for the participating California Pizza Kitchens? The list is long and includes Manhattan Beach, Century City, Long Beach Marketplace, Studio City, and Pasadena. Just ring your local CPK and find out if they're on board.
