“Dead” and Beyond: Full PaleyFest Slate Announced

"The Walking Dead" opens the starry TV fest, but there are comedic treats, too

When people talk in hyperbole about entertainment events open to fans, they cannot go far enough in describing PaleyFest, the Paley Center for Media's annual multi-night cast extravaganza, as the ultimate get.

No eyebrows would be raised, in other words, if you were to describe this as the ultimate see-your-favorite-stars-in-person television spectacular. (We know, we know, there's the little matter of Comic-Con, but movies and more are in that particular mix; we're talking strictly small screen here.)

The Paley Center regularly draws the most buzzy shows and the full or nearly full casts for each, plus creators.

Not bad for a single event. Worth the hyberbole, in fact.

And looking very not bad this year is PaleyFest 2013, which announced its full line-up on Wednesday, Jan. 9.

The opening night is "The Walking Dead," a show that has shambled onto the PaleyFest stage before. We're being poetic, of course, with "shambled"; no zombies are expected at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills on Friday, March 1. (So fear not.)

Other shows set to get starry at the Saban include "The Mindy Project," "Once Upon a Time," and the ever-popular "Community," which is also making a return PaleyFest appearance.
