What to Know
Saturday, Aug. 18
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Moving into a downward dog can happen in any space that you have, well, a little space. For practicing the oft-seen, back-opening yoga pose doesn't have to happen in a true studio or gymnasium, as yoga, as a rule, may be enjoyed anywhere.
Southern California lives this notion, with yoga classes popping up at beaches, parks, OUE Skyspace LA, and Dodger Stadium, on occasion.
The next stop for a deep-of-bend, deep-of-mind Vinyasa yoga session? It's the Americana at Brand, in Glendale, which will see a number of people arrive for some quality time on the mat on Saturday, Aug. 18.
The host? It's Perrier, which is launching its new Perrier + Juice line. And, indeed, there will be a Perrier + Juice bar near the yoga area, which means you'll be able to try samples of the just-launching sip, before or after downward-dogging.
The flavors? Strawberry & Kiwi, Pineapple & Mango, and Peach & Cherry.
The yoga classes? There will be five in all on Aug. 18.
The scene? A DJ, hip hop tunes, and yoga overseen by Y7 Studio. The hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the quintet of classes do have start times, so check them out here.
As for registering for the "Gym & Juice" pop-up? That can be done right here, too.
Gratis stretches, gratis sips, and a wash of late-summer sunshine await at The Americana, so wear your comfies and arrive ready to quaff and quiet the mind.
