An eve can be a truly magical span of time.

After all, we're anticipating something special when a special eve arrives.

And if you had to name the superhero-iest eve on the calendar, what might you choose, date-wise? If you said "when April ends and May begins," well, we do raise our shield to you, in tribute, because that's exactly what we thought, too.

After all, May is blockbuster territory, when all of those huge superhero-centered flicks fly onto our screens, making April 30 Superhero Eve, and May 1 the day when superhero fun truly takes off.

And on April 30, and May 1, in 2019, superheroes shall boldly and bravely assemble in Anaheim for several hours of epic eveningtime fun.

For Heroes Assemble is the next theme of Disneyland After Dark, the popular pop-up series that kicked off early in 2018.

This go-around, dear superheroes, will take place at Disneyland California Adventure, home to Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT! as well as the future home of the coming-along Marvel-themed area.

Also different?

Where previous Disneyland After Dark nights had occurred over a single evening, Heroes Assemble will happen on April 30 and May 1. That means you may buy a ticket to either night, then do a three-point landing, superhero-style, at Disney California Adventure.

Heroic Character Encounters, a "rockin' dance party," a Supreme Scavenger Hunt, a celebration of 80 Years of Comic Art, and the chance to cosplay as your favorite cape-wearer are all on the docket.

Or non-cape wearer, if you're from the Edna Mode school of dressing for superheroic deeds.

Just make sure your cape has a way to hold cash or some form of funds, for there shall be buyables aplenty. Eats that boast the vibe of the event and cool merch are also part of the party, as are other happenings geared toward the valorous theme.

A ticket? It's $109.

The chance that the nights will totally sell out? As strong as the Hulk, for sure, since previous Disneyland After Dark parties swiftly went the tickets-no-longer-available route.

Superhero Eve? Let's call it April 30, since May is so darn blockbuster-y. And let's throw in May 1, too, for good measure. After all, superheroes are larger than life, so why shouldn't Superhero Eve encompass two full nights, instead of one?

Just be sure to buy a ticket to one, or two tickets to both, if you want to be in the middle of the universe-saving, web-throwing, city-protecting spirit.

Which you do, we'll guess, by the look of your flowing cape, strong stance, and intense gaze.
