‘Infinity Mirrors' at The Broad: New Ticket Release

Here's another chance to secure an advance ticket to the highly anticipated exhibition.

Queuing up outside The Broad museum downtown?

It's a pastime many a Southern Californian has engaged in since the debut of the lauded contemporary art museum in the fall of 2015.

But a particular Broad museum queue, a line that's been the topic of conversation in recent weeks, hasn't appeared outside the famous honeycombed Grand Avenue building. Rather, this queue was solely online, as people lined up to try for tickets to a single much-anticipated exhibition: "Infinity Mirrors" from artist Yayoi Kusama.

Full of whimsy, brightly hued rooms, and enterable ethereal spaces, Ms. Kusama's works have captivated people near, far, and here, via "Infinity Mirrored Room — The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away," a popular must-see at The Broad.

But the advance tickets to the upcoming exhibition released on Friday, Sept. 1 sold out in under two hours, leaving many hope-holding people still in the queue, awaiting their chance to buy up to six tickets for $25 each.

Due to the high demand, The Broad soon added more hours to the exhibition, creating more tickets, tickets that will become available at noon on Monday, Oct. 2.

First up, and in bold print, with several asterisks nearby? There are important steps to know ahead of trying for tickets, like what time you should be on the site, about not sharing "...your unique waiting room link..." (which will cause you "...to forfeit your place in line"), and other essential tips.

If you do not ultimately receive a message that you've received a randomized number, a number that will allow you the chance to purchase tickets, take heart: "(A) limited number of same-day timed tickets," priced at $30 each, will still be available at The Broad after the exhibition opens.
