Mother's Day Check-ins: Facebook Reveals Top LA Spots

The social media titan shares the top spots Angelenos have visited on the May holiday.

Questions flitter around Mother's Day, like so many springtime butterflies, but one of the main ones among many people seems to be this: Where to go this year on Mom's big day?

You don't always want to repeat the brunch restaurant from last year -- and your mom might comment on your lack of adventure -- but you don't want to merely just visit her place for a quick cup of tea and call it a day. You want something bigger, something different, something with splash and/or dash.

Facebook maybe can assist you in that quest, or at least answer a few questions as to what SoCalers do on the day for all mothers.

The social media megamammoth released its "most popular Mother's Day locations in the U.S." by major city, over the last four years, with a 10-mile radius consideration and "mother's day" and "related terms" mentioned.

Can you guess the numero uno Los Angeles destination for mommy on her big day? Think blue: It's Dodger Stadium.

The always flowery, let's-smell-roses-and-stroll Huntington Library, Botanical Gardens, and Art Collections ranked at #3.

And #4? IHOP.

The full roster, from #1 to #10: Dodger Stadium, Luminarias Restaurant, The Huntington Library, Botanical Gardens, and Art Collections, IHOP, Bottega Louie Restaurant and Gourmet Market, Noypitz, Vegas Seafood Buffet, Resurrection Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, San Antonio Winery, and Almansor's Court -- Banquet Hall.

It's interesting to know where people go, and, moreover, the places they want to share with friends and family. Wherever you and mommy head out for, may it be a blooming garden of a day, whether you happen to visit a blooming garden or not.
