Tinseltown Tails: Adopt & Shop's Cocktail Bash

Make for Culver City for splashy sips and a pet-themed gifting suite.

We haven't, as of yet, seen actors stroll a red carpet with their Boston Terrier or Labrador Retriever at their sides, but given the popularity of our pets, both on screen and in our actual lives, such a day can't be long away.

While we await that bark-worthy turn of events, Found Animals will address our not-so-secret belief that our pooches are actual superstars.

How? The rescue-and-well-being organization is hosting a Cocktail Party & Gifting Suite created expressly for our four-footed friends. The place? Well, it isn't too far from Hollywood: Culver City is the spot. The location within Culver City? The Adopt and Shop, which actively and lovingly works to place furry lovebugs in forever homes (not the actual wording of the shop's mission, but rather the spirit of it).

The Thursday, Feb. 25 happening is free, so there's no admission for you and your #1 pal to attend, but you should RSVP if you plan on joining the early evening soiree. (Early evening=5:30-7:30 p.m.)

And, yep, you read that correctly: Your dog is invited, so this isn't a case where you'll have to fill him in later, on the details, because he would not have been admitted. In fact, save the grown-up, for-humans beverages and bites, the night is pretty much built around pets.

How so? Look to the on-site gifting suite, a common feature of awards season bashes. Several "products and samples" made just for our cuddlebuns will be offered to attendees, so stock up on fresh stuff you, and your aforementioned cuddlebun, want to try.

As for raffle prizes? They'll come from a host of places, including Sprinkles, Culver Palms Pet Hospital, Grounds for Hounds, and more.

As for going the gussy-up, awards-show-showy route? No gold lamé gown is required on your part, though if you have a bow tie to adorn your barker with, well, go for it. He'll be chill either way, in the way dogs are typically chill, even as we dress them in sparkly collars or glittery vests.

Is your dog a superstar? Of course. Will he or she ever get a chance to accept a shiny statue on a big stage? Well, maybe not, but that's cool: Our spirited pups act, each and every day, like they've won that shiny statue in life. True? Any dog person will say this is happily so.
