Tournament of Roses CEO to Retire

The chief executive officer of the Tournament of Roses announced that he will retire next spring.

Mitch Dorger has held the top position for the past decade. His retirement will become effective April 30.

"I am proud of what we were able to accomplish," he said. "But after 10 years, it is time for new leadership and time for me to enjoy some days with my family."

The Tournament of Roses organizes and provides year-round support and marketing for the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl game.

Jeffrey Throop, executive vice president, said the organization is conducting a nationwide search for a replacement and has hired Parker Executive Search of Atlanta to help.
