Award-winning journalist Adrian Arambulo is co-anchor of the NBC4 morning newscast "Today in LA," airing weekdays from 4 to 7 a.m.
He joined NBC4 in 2013 as an anchor and general assignment reporter for the weekend newscast of “Today in LA” and reported on the NBC4 News at 5p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m.
Arambulo has covered many stories in the Southland, including co-anchoring Emmy award-winning coverage of the Old Fire in Calabasas in 2016 and the rash of wildfires that struck Southern California in 2019. He was among the first on the air following the Borderline Bar Mass Shooting in Thousand Oaks, CA; Las Vegas country music concert massacre; and, the tragic shooting at Saugus High School. Arambulo also anchored special extended coverage of the civil unrest in Los Angeles following George Floyd’s death, and co-anchored the station’s Dodgers 2018 World Series coverage from the field at Dodger Stadium.
Prior to joining NBC4, Arambulo spent six years at KDFW-TV in Dallas-Fort Worth where he served as a weekend morning anchor and reporter. He covered the murder of NAVY Seal and U.S. war hero Chris Kyle, the Fort Hood terror attack, and numerous hurricanes and tornadoes. He was also a general assignment reporter for KLAS in Las Vegas, and served as bureau chief for KGBT in Brownsville, Texas.
Arambulo has participated in several worthy causes and supported NBC4’s community outreach events such as its annual Clear the Shelters pet adoption drive.
He has received a Golden Mike award from the Radio, Television News Association, several Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, Dallas and Las Vegas, and two Las Vegas Electronic Media Awards.
Born and raised in Chicago, Arambulo graduated with honors from Loyola University Chicago, where he worked for the school newspaper and radio station. He enjoys travel, golf and spending time with his family.
