Alice, Audaciously

The new "Alice in Wonderland" exhibit debuts.

Just in case you thought the new "Alice in Wonderland" exhibit at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising would be all dusty cobwebs and cracked teapots, we're here to tell you otherwise.

Not in a riddle, either. To put it plainly, FIDM was one of the most glamorous spots in town on the night of Wednesday, May 26, thanks to an appearance by costume designer Colleen Atwood, a not-made-for-the-nursery fashion show, and a performance by Kerli.

The exhibit, which contains costumes and sketches from Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" opens to the public on Thursday, May 27. Admission is free.

The show closes on September 30, but there are several special days between now and then, including a Mad Hatter Day. Oh, and "roving Mad Hatters" are promised at the June 10 Downtown Art Walk.

There. Very.
