And More Michelin: Las Vegas Gets a Three

We're still knee-deep in debate over the Los Angeles Michelin guide for 2009, but the Las Vegas book was also released on Monday. The list doesn't have too many changes this year: Once again, Joel Robuchon at MGM Grand gets the three-star designation; two stars still intact for Alex at the Wynn, Guy Savoy at Caesars, and Picasso at the Bellagio; and new one stars go to DJT at Trump Towers and Restaurant Charlie at the Palazzo. Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill lost its star. And just as in LA, there are several restaurants surprisingly not starred including Bouchon at the Venetian (it gets one in the SF guide), Batali's B&B at the Venetian, and Bartolotta at the Wynn (which goes along with Jonathan Gold's assessment that Michelin is "clueless about Italian cooking") to name a few. Mix really has no business being in there any more (especially if you ask this guy), and Nobu? One star? Really?
