APA@NBCUniversal (Asian Pacific Americans), a volunteer employee organization, is partnering with the Japanese Restaurant Association, Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Southern California, Sushi & Sake Magazine, and the Little Tokyo Business Association for "Dine out for Japan Relief."
For one week, participating restaurants will donate a portion of their profits to UNICEF. A donation of up to 7 percent from every meal will go toward disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific.
The opening night kick-off party was scheduled for Thursday at Oiwake Restaurant (122 Japanese Village Plaza, 2nd level) from 6:30 p.m.-10 p.m.

Oomasa - Oiwake - Frying Fish - Wakasaya - Restaurant Aoi - Mitsuru Cafe - Izayoi - Kakekokko - Orochan Ramen - Kushi Shabu - Matsui Restaurant - Mako Sushi
The event runs March 31 to April 7.
