Are You a D-Lister? Despair Not; Kathy Cares

In a town that takes striving seriously -- as in, way seriously, like, we've all got our goals in a spreadsheet and we have to make at least a third of them by the close of the year -- comedian Kathy Griffin marches to a different beat. Her one-woman show, on for four nights at the Kodak Theatre starting on Tuesday, December 9, should help heal the some of the "why am I not on the cover of XYZ magazine" pain that we all kinda, sorta feel, just by virtue of living here.

After all, she's a known friend to D-listers -- people who made it, and then, all too soon, unmade it -- as well as those who are forever on the cusp of the next big break, thanks in part to her long-running Bravo series "My Life on the D-List" (after four seasons, now going on number five, she should considering bumping the name to "C-List"; can D-Listers make five seasons?). Taking on the institutions and trappings of fame, and the nice/unnice things it brings, is the outspoken comedian's specialty, after all.

If you are famous, if you've been famous, if you want to be famous, if you've had a brush with fame, or if you sometimes air-sing in the mirror with a hairbrush, this could be a one highly cathartic evening for you.
