Ask Curbed: Hope Street Bottleneck: Maybe this “Ask Curbed” will…

Maybe this "Ask Curbed" will get the attention of a higher-up at the music center who can do something immediately. Or perhaps this person should learn meditation and deep breathing. "Dear Curbed: I take the LADOT 409 to and from the civic center. The 409 comes up from downtown on N Hope and makes a right on Temple to pick up civic center people. Lately, one lane on Hope has been closed down because some semis stick out from the music center garage. Needless to say, this creates a huge bottleneck on Hope for several LADOT lines and commuters who use Hope to get on to the 101 and other destinations in the PM rush hour. Didn't the Mayor offer to take care of bottlenecks like this when he ran for office? By the way, city hall knows about this because there is a meter/traffic maid right on the corner of Temple and Hope directing traffic. Further, who in his right mind would authorize shutting down a main artery lane during rush hour?"For more stories from Curbed LA, go to la.curbed.com.
