Fashion folks were abuzz after Michel Berandi's Thursday night show, saying it was the best show thus far, and part of a roster that night (Secta, Idol Radec, and Fremont included), which some thought could possibly end up being the strongest line-up of any night at Smashbox or BOXeight. Described as a "dramatic fusion of grunge and gothic glamour" by JC Report and by WWD as "theatrical and dark with a trio of floor-length black dresses that would make Nick Cave fans scream with excitement," Berandi's presentation was on a shortlist of shows making LA Fashion Week's future feel hopeful despite its continuing struggle to gain traction.
