REN FAIRE, the annual springtime lark in Irwindale, is quite the Southern California staple. It takes over several April and May weekends with dash and aplomb, and its jests, jousts, and period dramatics keep visitors returning for the various special theme weekends. But ye olde fun doesn't wrap with the spring, for several faires continue to flourish in late summer and into the fall.
