The annual LA tradition of Brazilian Carnaval erupts on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the newly renovated Hollywood Palladium and will inaugurate the ballroom in its largest public celebration since reopening in November with Jay Z.
Featured guests include Katia Moraes & Pure Samba Band, Axé, Marchinhas, Nation Beat from NYC, the rhythms of Recife’s Carnaval, with Frevo and Maracatu and more.
The Palladium completed renovations earlier this year adding major upgrades to the stage infrastructure to accommodate larger productions as well as a top to bottom overhaul of all interior and exterior areas that bring the music hall up to date while preserving the Palladium’s original aesthetic integrity.
Boasting the title of largest Carnaval on the West Coast, Brazilian Nights Carnaval has sold out with a crowd of 3000+ guests every year for the past nine years.
