A quick check-in with the folks at Canter's: There's currently only a 10 minute wait to sit inside and about the same for the to-go counter for the 60-cent corned beef sandwich anniversary deal. (So you can get the sandwich to go, just can't call ahead for it.) Marc Canter told LAist: "We are set up to feed 7000 people from noon to midnight. 5 machines will be cutting hot Corned Beef and the Potato salad cups are all made up and pickles are sliced up and ready to go.
