Pajamas and Unicorns at Cinefamily

When reading the Cinefamily calendar of upcoming events, it's tough to remain calm.

The organization -- made up of movie lovers with a sense of quirk -- is known for its unbridled enthusiasm. Event descriptions are often packed with capital letters and plenty of exclamation points. It's almost as if we can't read each word fast enough.

Such is the case with Cinefama Pajama Party VI:

"P-A, J-A, M-A..... Pajama Party! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 -- 6! WOW! Have we already danced in our PJs till the break of dawn that many times? Are you ready for more? Are you kidding?!?! Ask yourself: what's the one thing deep down that all us lil' sleepy-freakies love more than life itself? Uh, that would be UNICORNS!!!!"

That's right -- unicorns and pajamas. The Silent Movie Theatre, located at 611 N. Fairfax Ave., is screening the 1982 fantasy classic "The Last Unicorn," and the proper attire is nightwear.

Not only is Saturday's event "'corn-tastic" and "uni-awesome" (their words), the Unicorn Magic Baking Company is in a "baking frenzy" working on "something really special" for the show.

Although Saturday's movie is animated and pajamas are involved, leave the kids at home. The event page indicates this isn't kid friendly. Dogs are also not welcome -- even if they are wearing pajamas.

The pajama party runs 10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets are $12 and available online.
