A man fatally stabbed outside Barney's Beanery in West Hollywood following an argument with several men inside the restaurant was identified Thursday by the coroner's office.

Michael McClure, 40, died at a hospital, said Craig Harvey of the coroner's office.

He was stabbed at about 1:35 a.m. Thursday in the 8400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, near North Olive Drive, said Deputy Denise Fuchs of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

McClure had argued with the suspects inside the restaurant, and there was a fight outside, during which he was stabbed, said sheriff's Lt. Gil Carrillo.
