Cult Classic at Silent Movie

We've all known computers that have tried our patience. Then there is the computer in '80s cult fave "Evilspeak" (we're guessing from the title this computer does more than lose the document you've just spent an hour working on). Really, could the people who named this movie have been just a bit more colorful? Probably not.

Mean machinery that churns to life is nothing new in movies (thank you Hal 9000), but this 1981 film gem takes it to the taste limit. Maybe that's why both buffs of cheesy Reagan-era cinema and horror flick fans have kept old VHS copies of this movie for years. The plot? Bad computer, bad kid, outlandish hijinks involving lots of squirm-in-your-seat effects. Comic Con regulars adore star Clint Howard, who is making an appearance before the film alongside director Eric Weston. Get your '80s on tonight -- spiky hair and leg warmers recommended -- for this rare slice of celluloid badness (and by that we mean goodness).
