I measured an average 11 inches of snow in my front yard in East Palmdale, up to 24 inches in some spots from drifts. My husbands car is buried in a snow drift at the Vincent Hill Metrolink Station. I got the last set of truck chains at Walmart and was very luck to be able to get through to the station to pick him up! Pearblossom Hwy. was closed at Sierra Hwy, and traffic was backed up (completely stopped) to 25th street E.

When I got off work today, I decided to grab my ruler and head outside to see just how much snow had fallen. I decided to measure the snow off the cinder block walls that surround our home. As you can see, at about 4pm today it was just shy of 3". I did it again at 9pm and the level had increased to 4" precisely.
