Men's and women's boutique Twenty Two Shoes just opened its doors at 8304 West 3rd Street in mid-May, and is already shuttering after one big sale, beginning Friday, October 3. What makes this more unfortunate is that owners/designers Chris and Alexandra Silverman are not only closing their LA shop, but also closing their San Francisco and Oakland stores, the latter of which has been around for six years. Chris Silverman told Racked investors pulled out, due to the downturn in the economy.
The sale will feature items at up to 75% off, and the LA store will officially close on October 12. There's no doubt that West 3rd Street has taken a hit during these trying financial times, with the closing of Danmark, Meg, Magenta, Known, Medak and Memenic soon.
