SILVER LAKE: This Sunday Silverlake Wines gets all autumnal with a food and wine pairing menu with things like whole suckling pig and pumpkin lasagna. It's only $20 and probably fills up fast; ressies are required. ( 323.662.9024) [LA & OC Foodie]

PICO: From a tipster: "Looks like the Nathan's Kosher outpost on Pico is gone for good. Think that was the last one in L.A. No notice, just closed up and newspapered the windows, then the construction wall went up - replaced by a new resto/caterer/take-away called Sunrise. Think lots of orange." [Eater Inbox]

TV CHEFS: The Paley Center for Media has a couple of events for Food Network fans: On October 28, Giada De Laurentiis will premiere an episode of her new Food Network series Giada at Home and then have a Q&A with the audience. After, she'll sign her new book at a reception (with food!). On November 19, it's Iron Chef Cat Cora's turn. Tickets for individual events are $60 for general public, $40 for Paley members; for both events together, $80 for public, $60 for members. More info here.
