EaterWire: Versus Delayed Again, White Trash Wine Tasting in Eagle Rock, Free Anni Gelato at The Point

DOWNTOWN: Versus, the nightclub that was supposed to softly open this weekend in the former Stock Exchange building, has hit another snag. From the press release: "Tonight’s unfortunate change of venue is due to insufficient inspection code for the entire building that Versus resides in. Although the management team of Versus had understood differently of the building's code status, they will be addressing these issues with the buildings landlord and Los Angeles Fire Marshall accordingly. Versus’s management team looks forward to a very successful event tonight at the new location TATOU and opening its doors next week." 1) Figures. 2) The event tonight features Questlove from the Roots. 3) Tatou is still open? EAGLE ROCK: The Colorado Wine Company knows how to party. Next Saturday (10/25), the second annual White Trash wine tasting features the best eats from your local 7-11 (cheese puffs, Slim Jims, Fritos nachos, Ding Dongs) with special wines. $20 per person.[CoC]

CULVER CITY: Time does fly: Vicki Fan and Kazuto Matsusaka's grab-and-go The Point celebrates its first anniversary this month, and to commemorate everyone gets a free scoop of Ciao Bella gelato or sorbetto (with one entrée) during the week of October 27.
