Fall Tracking: Drago Centro

With so many new restaurants readying for fall debuts, we're here to keep you updated on the important projects and when it's time to make those ressies.

Initial Projection: Late Summer/Early Fall
Current Projection: Early November

Construction is moving along at Drago Centro, the new "contemporary Italian" from chef Celestino Drago at City National Plaza downtown. Looks like equipment is hanging around on what will soon be the patio just waiting to be installed, and from the top you'll see the skylights in what will be a brass canopy. Zooming in, lots of drywall and work happening inside. The restaurant flanks one side of the building (with a Chaya Brasserie going in on the other) and there will be separate bar and dining areas, the aforementioned outdoor space, and a demonstration kitchen/private room in the former bank's vault. Also expected: An Enomatic wine tasting system, a 16-foot glass-encased wine tower, and cocktails by mixologits Vincenzo Marianella. The last opening projection was for September, but a recent Craigslist ad says they're shooting for an early November debut.
