"Twilight" gets its Chinese Theatre due

Hollywood doesn't get quite the "Twilight" tourism traffic that Forks, Washington does, we'll wager, but it certainly is a destination for fans of the book and movies series. After all, the films' big premieres have brought out tons of people from all over, people who very often camp out for days to get a glimpse of the stars. And opening night at the major movie houses? Yeah, there are always costumes. We love the costumes.

Now fans'll have another reason to venture to Tinseltown. On Thursday, Nov. 3 the principals of "Twilight" -- Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner -- will press their hands into damp cement in front of the Chinese Theatre.

The ceremony is at 10 a.m. It might be a little busy on the boulevard that morning. Yes, we're using understatement here for ironic impact. It will be extremely busy, and you'll want to find a different route if you're headed to work through Hollywood proper.

Also good to know? The theater will livestream the action.

The questions this puts in our head are many. Will we now see more Edward Cullens amidst the characters out front of the theater, the Charlie Chaplins and the Batmans (Batmen?) and various cartoon types?

Another question. What will the little extra thing be the stars add to their square? Like when Betty Grable pressed her famous gam into the cement? Vampire teeth? A werewolf's paw? We're curious.

Question three. Will there be a line for people waiting to put their own hands in the prints for months to come? Surely a back-up. While you're waiting, "Twilight" buffs, be sure to visit the C-3PO and R2D2 prints. They're charming.

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 1" opens on Friday, Nov. 18.
