Get Your “Remaining” Tickets

Good-to-know words: 1) Plastics, 2) March 31

One of the central rites of summer around Los Angeles is wanting to nab Last Remaining Seats tickets but finding said tickets sadly unnabbable.

Why? Because so many people covet them. Because the Los Angeles Conservancy summer film series takes place in a clutch of downtown's most historic, flourish-filled theaters, theaters that rarely show films nowadays, and everyone wants in. Because the film events only happen over a half dozen nights a year.

Last Remaining Seats for 2010 will be especially in demand -- screening "The Graduate" at the Los Angeles Theatre will not be unpopular -- and so we're putting word out now. Why now? On Wednesday, March 31, tickets for the series go on sale to members.

Non-members will have their crack at 'em on Wednesday, April 14.

So, like a certain young man racing through California to stop a certain wedding, interested parties best race toward becoming a Conservancy member, or people who are already members best race to getting those tickets.
