Prospective and current pet owners purchase a lot of books about animals. A lot. That seems to be one segment of the publishing market that stays pretty robust, regardless of the tides of technology and public whim.
Now. Put several animals needing new homes within steps of a big bookstore's pet section, and you have one solid, sweet event. That's what's happening at Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena on Saturday, January 15. The Pasadena Humane Society will be hosting its Winter Pet Adoption Fair outside the store, meaning that book lovers can come find a new cutie to love, too.
Vroman's will have a few giveaways, and the Border Grill truck is stopping by to make sure people searching for their new pet are well taco'd.
Hours are 11 a.m to 3 p.m.
