Happy Hanukkah

The holiday is traditionally celebrated with food, games, gifts and the lighting of the menorah

On Tuesday at sundown, many Angelenos will begin lighting candles in celebration of Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish holiday known as the "Festival of Lights."

The word Hanukkah means "dedication" in Hebrew and commemorates the re-dedication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem during the second century B.C. when the Jewish were victorious over the Syrian-Greeks.
