Hotel Proposed for Hollyood's Cahuenga Building

No one can get financing for condominiums these days, but the hotel business marches on. Via the Hollywood 411 blog: "...The Economic Development Committee of the Chamber reviewed two proposed projects at its meeting this week. A proposal was presented to convert the former Security Bank Building at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Cahuenga into an 80-room, five-star boutique hotel." Literary buffs will know that this building, also know as the Cahuenga Building, is where fictional detective Philip Marlow had in office in Raymond Chandler's "The Long Goodbye." According to Hollywood 411, an adjoining building that houses a restaurant and night club will be demolished to build a parking lot for the hotel. And what restaurant/nightclub would that be?
