Join a Race for the Cure at Dodger Stadium

Helping raise money to end breast cancer.

We know it'll be early. Extra early, in fact, since Sunday, March 14 is the spring forward day of Daylight Saving Time.

But you support the fight to end breast cancer, forever, and you want to walk and donate to show that support. And you can, at 14th Annual Komen Los Angeles County Race for the Cure, which is taking place at Dodger Stadium on March 14.

If you know the Komen events, you know there are now over 100 Race for the Cures going on around the nation every year (the first one was in Dallas nearly three decades ago). And you know that this will be the 14th outing for Los Angeles, and thousands of people will come out.

If you haven't yet registered, you can still participate; just get to Dodger Stadium on Sunday, March 14, and sign up in person. Details here. And note that registration opens at the early hour of 6 a.m. (taking into consideration that it is Daylight Saving).

And one of the interesting things we want to note here is that while Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a national organization, over three-quarters of funds raised stays put in the city that did the raising, says the group. That is remarkable.
