We were extremely sad to have missed designer Katy Rodriguez's show at the John Lautner Harpel House. WWD reports: "Katy Rodriguez’s ruffled and pleated party dresses, modern riffs on Frida Kahlo, shimmered through the windows of the historic John Lautner house." We heard from one attendee who was completely breathless dashing across town to get to Whitely Kros that it was a spectacular event. "Why can't more shows in LA be like Katy's?" he asked. Yes, a fabulous architectural backdrop and a talented designer (she had just received a Gen Art Alumni Innovator Award two days prior) is definitely a bright spot in the week. [WWD]
