One of the less obvious effects of the NBA playoffs, we suspect, is an uptick in neglected nails— after all, the games do fall right in the middle of prime after-work primping time. But thanks to Studio City's ROB|B salon, that no longer needs to be the case. From tonight through the rest of the finals, the OPI concept salon will be screening the games on each station's mini-flatscreen, while doling out cupcakes from the neighboring Big Sugar Bake Shop and, of course, purple-and-gold manicures (or regular man-manicures, if any gents are so inclined). And, according to owner Robbie Schaeffer, the sporting fun won't end when the Lakers take the title—he tells us the salon will be bringing in a barber from Beverly Hills to do straight razor shaves for the guys when Monday Night Football returns.
